The Challenge: Scaling Clinical Training Across Rural Wyoming

Wyoming's nursing programs are spread across rural institutions, each facing the same constraints: limited access to physical simulation labs, inconsistent training experiences across campuses, and a healthcare workforce shortage that demands more practice-ready graduates. Traditional simulation, tied to manikins, on-site faculty, and fixed schedules, couldn't scale to meet the need. The Approach: Building a Statewide System

Wyoming Innovation Partnership (WIP) evaluated every proposed immersive technology use case against workforce alignment, scalability, and measurable impact. Learning value climbed from 7.7 to 8.4 out of 10, and 98% of faculty confirmed they intended to continue using the platform.

Independent economic analysis confirmed the program's contribution to the state: $2.2M in economic impact, 199 jobs created, and a projected 690% ROI for WIP.
