UbiSim Release 1.12: GDPR Security Improvements, New Feature, & Improvements
Our focus for the 1.12 release has been GDPR infrastructure and general security improvements. We also have some feature improvements we're excited to share with you. This release will be made available from the 4th of November and will roll out to our users progressively.
As always, you can choose to upgrade whenever you are ready without any interruption to your existing experience!
GDPR Infrastructure and Overall Security Improvements
GDPR = General Data Protection Regulation, privacy and security law.
- Introduced a range of security enhancements that further strengthen our commitment to safeguarding all customer data
- Established our new European servers in Germany
- Set up dedicated backend architecture for European customers
- Migrating our European customers onto our new infrastructure will begin shortly
New feature: Realistic Day/Night Cycle!
- The view out of the windows now changes according to the time of day in the scenario. This improves fidelity and immersion for scenarios set at night.
- Also, UbiSim tints the images over the course of a couple of hours to ease the transition.
More Improvements Based on Your Feedback
- The suction catheter can now be used while the patient is sleeping
- The isolation gown can now also be doffed by grabbing and pulling away from the user's back (as most consistent with CDC guidance)
- A ghost observer can now quit via the same menu on the back of their wrist as an active participant
- A popup clarifies the reason when the ice slurry pack for SVT disappears (to prevent burns).
