HIV & Shingles
Participants implement nursing interventions for a patient newly diagnosed with shingles and HIV. The patient is experiencing difficulty with accepting the diagnosis of HIV and learners must provide support and education to the patient.
Learning Objectives
1. Conduct a focused nursing assessment for a patient presenting with shingles 2. Prioritize and implement interventions for the care and treatment of HIV and shingles 3. Demonstrate effective therapeutic communication techniques and provide support to the patient 4. Educate the patient on the new diagnosis, care and treatment of HIV
