Participants perform a focused antepartum nursing assessment for a patient with no prenatal care, apply evidence-based care for GBS infection, and provide effective communication and support.
Learning Objectives
1. Perform a focused antepartum nursing assessment for a patient with no prenatal care. 2. Implement evidence-based nursing interventions for a pregnant client with a GBS infection. 3. Communicate the patient and fetus condition to the provider using SBAR. 4. Identify and address any safety issues in the patient’s plan of care 5. Provide therapeutic communication to the patient.
